Some of the places I’ve been through in the last few weeks…

Amityville, NY. – Yes the same one from the movies  (didn’t see the actual house although it really is there)

Woodstock, NY

We delivered to the Pentagon although I had to wait outside because I didn’t have security clearance to go in.  (they’re not real big on loitering either  )

Nazareth ( Pa.)

Bethlehem ( Pa.)

You’ll be relieved to know that the “Lords Valley” has a Mcdonalds so Happy Meals all around :)

I- 84 west looking from NY into PA.  The picture does not do the view justice…

Left Harrisburg, Pa at 1;45 pm. Friday.  Drove to Albany, NY and delivered 10 stores and back to Harrisburg at 2:15 pm. Saturday.  24 1/2 hours, 741 miles…

Hi blog, it’s me.  I’m sorry that I haven’t spent much time with you lately.  It’s just with my new job and that tramp Facebook

It’s been a busy month.  Delivered to Virginia, Maryland, Deleware, New Jersey, and Long Island N.Y.  Had the truck break down in Brooklyn (right under the Brooklyn Bridge) and ran out of hours and had to sit along 476 south of Allentown waiting for my partners hours to reset so we could make it home (we can only drive 11 hours in a 14 hour period and then stop for 10) Such is trucking :)

All in all it is going good and I get to spend a decent amount of time at home.

Here’s some trucker jokes…

Three preachers died and went to heaven. While waiting for St. Peter to let them in a SWIFT and J.B. HUNT driver show up and St. Peter makes the preachers step aside. This baffled the preachers so they asked. ” We’ve been preaching the good word our whole life, and you make us step aside and let these truckers in before us?” St. Peter replied, “In their first year of driving they have scared “the hell” out of more people then you ever preached to.”

What’s the difference between a Jehovah’s Witness and a Freightliner?  You can close the door on a Jehovah’s Witness…

Why does JB Hunt paint their truck frames orange?  So when they roll over people think it’s a Schneider truck…

What does JB Hunt stand for? Just beginning to hold up nations traffic…

What does Swift stand for?  Sure wish I finished training…

What does Sygma stand for?  Sorry you got my application…

Why did JB Hunt stop pulling doubles?  The top one kept falling off…

Hey, what else can you do when your in a truck for 20 hours at a shot…

Went to my uncle Tim’s retirement party last night.  Had a good time playing some music with the guys who basically got me started.  We haven’t played much together as a band for the last 10 years but some things you never forget right?
