From the film “This is Spinal Tap”
Ecclesiastes 11:6 “Sow your seed in the morning and do not be idle in the evening, for you do not know whether morning or evening sowing will succeed, or whether both of them alike will be good.”
Mark 16:15 And He said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation.
How many people did I witness to this week?
How many of my family members, friends, co-workers see Jesus when I walk into the room?
Do I really want to explain to my maker why they don’t know?

“Christ the Lord is Risen Today” tonedr
Resurrection!
1Early in the morning on the first day of the week, while it was still dark, Mary Magdalene came to the tomb and saw that the stone was moved away from the entrance. 2She ran at once to Simon Peter and the other disciple, the one Jesus loved, breathlessly panting, “They took the Master from the tomb. We don’t know where they’ve put him.”
3Peter and the other disciple left immediately for the tomb. 4They ran, neck and neck. The other disciple got to the tomb first, outrunning Peter. 5Stooping to look in, he saw the pieces of linen cloth lying there, but he didn’t go in. 6Simon Peter arrived after him, entered the tomb, observed the linen cloths lying there, 7and the kerchief used to cover his head not lying with the linen cloths but separate, neatly folded by itself. 8Then the other disciple, the one who had gotten there first, went into the tomb, took one look at the evidence, and believed. 9No one yet knew from the Scripture that he had to rise from the dead. 10The disciples then went back home.
11But Mary stood outside the tomb weeping. As she wept, she knelt to look into the tomb 12and saw two angels sitting there, dressed in white, one at the head, the other at the foot of where Jesus’ body had been laid. 13They said to her, “Woman, why do you weep?”
“They took my Master,” she said, “and I don’t know where they put him.” 14After she said this, she turned away and saw Jesus standing there. But she didn’t recognize him.
15Jesus spoke to her, “Woman, why do you weep? Who are you looking for?”
She, thinking that he was the gardener, said, “Mister, if you took him, tell me where you put him so I can care for him.”
16Jesus said, “Mary.”
Turning to face him, she said in Hebrew, “Rabboni!” meaning “Teacher!”
17Jesus said, “Don’t cling to me, for I have not yet ascended to the Father. Go to my brothers and tell them, ‘I ascend to my Father and your Father, my God and your God.’”
18Mary Magdalene went, telling the news to the disciples: “I saw the Master!” And she told them everything he said to her.

This is such a powerful song. The video is from “The Passion of the Christ”
It is somewhat graphic in nature.
I Don’t think my church will be showing this on Sunday.

The Who “I’m Free”
This is a totally awesome video I stumbled upon. The empty tomb set to The Who’s “I’m Free.” I love it when a good old classic rock song can be used for His glory!!! Gonna have to learn this one with the band
This is the best news ever!
Firstborn from the dead, never to perish again!
Total freedom from sin because of this most unselfish act of love. Freedom that tastes of reality. The reality of who He is and who He is helping me to become.
The first “Christian” song that I wrote is called “Wide is the Road”. Written shortly after my new life began. The road may be narrow but at that time (and sometimes even now) it seemed to be pretty wide.
Here is the lyric to the bridge of this song:
“If you get behind me on the judgement day, I hope you brought a book along to pass the time away. I heard about a Savior, who died to set me free. So there just might be a little hope for a fool like me.”

King Crimson “Discipline”
This is one of those videos that will either totally draw you in or after 10 seconds you will have had enough. Bill Bruford playing 17/16 with hands and 4/4 with feet. Robert Fripp, Adrian Belew and Tony Levin alternating between 5/8, 4/4, 9/8, 14/16, 15/16, 10/8, 11/16 & 12/16.
I think I’ll sell my guitars and take up fingerpainting
To discipline means to instruct a person or animal to follow a particular code of conduct, or to adhere to a certain order.
Discipline refers to methods of modeling character and of teaching self-control and acceptable behavior.
In its most general sense, discipline refers to systematic instruction given to a disciple.
Disciple:
- A person who learns from another, especially one who then teaches others.
- An active follower of someone, or some philosophy.
Living as a disciple, wholeheartedly following Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord. Radical Christian living. Anything less is less than God desires!
1 John 2:6 “Those who say they live in God should live their lives as Christ did.”
Or walk as He walked. Keeping moving forward, following Christ with consistancy to keep from sinning.
One of the greatest identifying marks of a disciple is that his or her walk resembles the Masters.

Bob Dylan “What Can I Do For You”
August 16, 2001 – Before that I guess nothing really matters. That’s the day I prayed for God’s forgivness and accepted Christ as my Savior.
I’ve done a lot of things in the past that I regret and not done things that I should have. It’s amazing how life has changed. 20 years ago I never would have thought I’d be where or who I am today.
Since it seems like where this post is going I thought I’d share a little about me and my past. (not all regrets though)
I went to church until my early teens but never really got anything from it. Sad but I don’t ever remember anyone ever asking me about my salvation or praying with me to accept Christ.
I’ve seen close to 100 Grateful Dead concerts. That should explain alot.
I’ve survived what I feel are 2 near death experiences.
I’ve been able to overcome substance abuse but still struggle with quitting smoking.
I’ve been blessed musically.
I worry alot. I don’t trust God enough
I’ve read the entire Bible. Some parts more than once
I’ve been meeting with my pastor once a week for the past year for spiritual growth and to overcome an addiction to pornography.
My wife is my best friend and the most forgiving person I’ve ever known. I don’t know if I’ll ever be able to express how much I love and need her.
Jesus, You are everything to me. I know that I’m here now for a reason. That all I’ve been through has brought me here to this point in time. Enough about me.
What can I do for You?
